As shown above, I used the popsicles to make a fun & friendly “You are cool” card.
I started with a plain white card and some Stampin’ Up scrap pieces of brightly colored paper and ribbon.
I used the quick cuts dies to cut my popsicles.
Next I used my Stampin’ Up! scalloped edge punch to create a border.
I used the Summer Smooches designer series paper to create my background. It wasn’t quite big enough so I split it in half since the entire center of the card would be covered. Then I added my scalloped border at the bottom.
I placed a white strip over the background and glued my popsicles and the sticks on top. Then I tied my teeny tiny Stampin’ Up ribbon into teeny tiny bows and used glue dots to attach them to the popsicles. This step took patience.
I knew I wanted to use a fun summer phrase, something about being cool, but didn’t think I had any stamps to do so. Then I remembered I had bought these from the dollar stamp bin at MIchaels. The center stamp says, “I think you are…” and the cute little image stamps have different words to complete that sentence.
I just used bits and pieces of the stamp to say, “You are cool.”
I punched it out with one of my smaller phrase punches and layered it with a slightly larger label punch. I attached these witha dimensional adhesive to add some dimension to the card.
Fun! I love these cute little die cuts!
