I hope that you all have a safe, happy holiday! Thank you all for reading Scissors & Spatulas! Thank you even more for all the kind words you have shared with me!
I never knew how much I would enjoy blogging. I never realized what doors this blog would open up for me. I never realized the friends I would make across the miles. Some that I have met in person, others that I have not. The truth is that this blog has had a very positive effect on my life. It is time consuming, and I do feel more flustered and unorganized than ever, but it’s somehow worth it! It’s worth it because you tell me it’s worth it! You tell me that I inspire you, but actually, you inspire me! I’ve always enjoyed decorating, crafting and cooking. But somehow I feel like this blog has expanded my creativity. In a way, it’s forced me to continue to come up with creative ideas. However, when I say “forced,” I don’t mean it an a negative way. In order to continue writing Scissors & Spatulas, I have to keep creating, designing and cooking, all things I am passionate about. These are the things I love doing. And when I read all of your awesome comments, they drive me to continue coming up with ideas to share with you. And for that, my friends, I am grateful!
I’d like to say thank you! Thank you so much for inspiring me get my craft on! And thank you for inspiring me to write about them! You’ve brought more joy over the past year than you can imagine! Happy holidays to you and your family!

Precious card Jen! Merry Christmas!
Adorable card, Jen! I don't get over to visit as often as I'd like (don't make to any blogs as often as I'd like….lol), but really enjoy it when I do. Thanks for all that you share. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

You are doing a great job!! Keep it up and I am here to help in any way (shopping, babysitting, coming up with projects at my home
)
Gets hectic and I feel the same way about not being organized as much but it is all worth it!
Hi Jen, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!! Adorable picture of your boys.
Merry Christmas, Jen and Family!
I discovered your blog on Fripp Twitter.
However, I do agree with another poster…let's not tell everyone about Fripp. lol
Your young loving family reminds me so much of my own, in the early years. Although they are now grown, they come home, and love every Christmas decoration, goodie….
Our children are an incredible gift to us, @ every age.
Thanks for all the inspiration this year!
I was pleasantly surprised to see your pics of your visit to Lazy 5. We live on Lake Norman. I'm a Mooresville native. The Lazy 5 was a very special place to my children and my parents years ago.
I'm hoping to employ your New Year "cleaning tips".
Hi Jen,
Thank you for the work you put into your blog. I love reading it and I love it even more because we have so much in common. Two boys almost the same age and former teachers who hope to go back someday. That's what caused me to love you. . "she's living my life!" I love how creative you are yet realistic. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to your 2012 inspirations.
