Y’all aren’t going to believe it, but everything I’m about to show you was purchased/inherited in just one week. One week! Why am I making such a big deal? Because it’s a lot! So much that I restricted myself from going to any thrift stores or garage sales for the past three weekends!
Now I said all this purchasing took place in a week, and it did, but it was actually a few weeks ago. Sorry to withold these beauties from you for that long!
Get ready. . .
Sunday
On our way to Fripp Island we drove through Beaufort, SC, a lovely, historic little town. We passed by several antique stores/thrift stores and I just had to stop.
I only came home with three things, but I was happy as a clam! A beautiful old blue shutter {which hubby grunted at and said it must be full of lead paint}, a Ball jar and a cool hat display stand.
Wednesday
Monday and Tuesday are re-stock days for my favorite Humane Society Thrift Store, so Wednesdays I’m there first thing!
A silver platter, a cute side table and a birdhouse, a church, ummm {??}.
Saturday
My sister-in-law and I headed up to The Depot, an antique mall in Concord, NC. One Saturday a month they have a public yard sale in the parking lot in addition to the ridiculous square footage of space inside. Good thing I had to leave early for a party or I would have probably emptied our bank account!
I got a neat little mirror, beautiful bottles and jars, a vintage glass insulator, vintage spools, a couple books, an old wooden shoe form and a vintage crochet doily.
That’s not all. . .
An old framed print of a sleeping girl, a grain sack, a wooden crate, 2 very rusty buckets, a vintage sewing table drawer and some old wooden blocks.
But that still not all. . . .
Two black shutters, a telephone table and this old rusty fireplace screen {??}.
Oh, and one more thing. . .
This navy blue hat! Perfect to place on my “new” hat stand!
And if all that wasn’t enough. . .
Sunday
We went to hubby’s parents’ house for dinner. My mother-in-law had a few things up for grabs.
I don’t know what it was about his lamp, but it was calling my name! And I loved the little table too!
Phew! I told you it was a lot of stuff! It looks like my car will remain in the driveway, rather than in the garage, for a little longer! I’ve got a lot of work to do!
{Don’t get your panties in a wad, Diana! Just kidding, you crack me up!}
Let me show you what I’ve done with a few things so far}
I promise, for real, that I will post more updates on my thrifty finds, even those from weeks back, soon!

Wow, must have been like hunting of the century! Lucky you:) I wouldn't mind some of those beauties either, hahahaha:)
Have a great day!
I love thrift shopping! You found some really great items The spools and sleeping girl picture is my favorite!!!
Fabulous finds! I love the old blue shutter
I keep finding myself at estate & yard sales and antique festivals instead of spending my weekends getting ready for my first craft show
Good thing I am looking for sewing materials & props for my booth
So many great finds Jen! Love the little side table.
Shut up! I want the blue shutter and I want to go shopping with you!
Have a great evening
hey jen, let me know when plan on working on the shutter…I have three old windows that are from the 1920s and I want to sand down and clean up…but I am worried about the lead paint too…hence why they are still in my garage…any suggestions on working with lead paint…the paint is minimal and I need to sand down and paint one for my little girls room…a little lost at what to do when working with possible lead paint…help!
