This Week’s Thrifty Finds

Whew! I’m finally back to my normal routine after a crazy busy weekend. Yesterday I took time off for some much needed R & R!  I did some shopping over the weekend at garage sales, thrift stores and Goodwill. I wasn’t super successful in my finds this week, but I did come home with a few things. Take a look. . .

I found this “retro” phone at Goodwill for $5.99. The sales lady told me I could return it if it did not work. I don’t really care. I just like the way it looks. I have big plans for this baby! Can’t wait to show you when I finish!

OMG, the Humane Society thrift store wanted only $6.50 for this old Radio Flyer wagon. Loving it, rust and all! The handle is cracked, but SO WHAT! I know exactly what I’m going to do with it. {stay tuned}

Five bucks for an old sewing table. It needs work, but I love the height and I love the hardware. Oh, and I love the price!

A very old lantern $3.

A few cool vintage clutches {$1 each} and one had a vintage handkerchief inside!

And this rusty miniature bird bath. I didn’t love that it was $4, but oh well. I found the three apples at a different sale for a buck.

Pottery Barn reindeer moss for ONE buck!!

And, this silver pitcher was in a box of stuff marked FREE!

I was hoping for more furniture finds, but I’m loving the little pieces that I got. You’ll see some of these items again in the future! But you might not recognize them!

  1. Jen you always get the good stuff and you deserve it because we know you'll make something great out of it. I've decided I need a 'prop' room to organize all my little finds – wherever do you keep all these treasures?

  2. Fun finds & treasures! I love a good deal. The phone is a great find, it is from Pottery Barn. I have it in red. :)

  6. Hi, Jen! I heard about your blog from Jill Blades and I love it! I check on it everyday for any new posts :) Patrick and I just bought our first house this year and I love all of your DIY ideas on a budget (because that's what we are on!). My group from church is having a garage sale this Saturday in Cotswold from 8am-1pm. All proceeds benefit charity, A Better World. Stop by 1116 Linda Lane for some more finds!
